Heading south on highway 1 today! It’s early, around 8:30am so the fog is still heavy. First stop is Moss Beach and it’s harbor. I can hear the fog horn and the seagulls! It’s a beautiful morning! Follow me and I’ll take you to a great coastal farmers market.

Evening Walk and Morning Breakfast in Mendocino
As I take off on another completely spontaneous day (I think I will head south east) I wanted to post some of my photos from last night and this morning. I hope you do something completely fun and carefree today!

Walking on the cliffs last night

Photos from around Mendocino. Here’s my dinner at Flow- I highly recommend this place!
Northern California Coastal Drive
I always feel so lucky to live in northern California. And driving up highway 1 never ceases to amaze me. Below are some photos I took from my drive today. I hope everyone had a fabulous 4th of July!!!

Lunch at the Marshall House- one of my favorites!

You’ll actually see cows grazing along the cliffs!

I just arrived in Mendocino. More pics tomorrow! I’m going to relax by the fire with a glass of wine and watch the fog roll in over the cliffs ….

Cliff Drive to Stinson Beach

Driving along the cliffs on highway 1 in the fog is absolutely enchanting. Especially if it’s early, just a long black ribbon curving along in front of you, hugging the cliffs.

If you have the opportunity to visit Stinson Beach try this place and order the #1 enchilada w red sauce. Take it to the beach and eat it listening to the waves!
Highway 1 to Mendocino

It’s probably a little crazy to travel anywhere on the 4th of July, but here I am looking out at the Golden Gate Bridge shrouded in fog. I took off at 6am so I could get through San Francisco before the masses could spread out onto the roads. I’ll head north for a few miles and the cut over to highway one the first chance I get. Happy 4th everyone!!!
