Nashaquita Pond on Martha’s Vineyard
Driving along State Road I found this charming cove. A lot of people love to shoot photos in with full sun. I would argue that a sky filled with clouds is much more interesting. I love the cast of colors when they sun is hidden.

Getting to Martha’s Vineyard
It takes about an hour to get to Martha’s Vineyard by boat. In my humble opinion the week before Memorial Day is the best time to go. There are no crowds, and the island is pleasantly quiet. If you can take your car, take it. It gives you so much freedom and ends up being less expensive since you’re not paying for taxis and buses when you get there. It’s always good to make a reservation. I’ll add the link when I’m back by my computer. Here’s what it looks like when you’re getting ready to drive in the ship
Once you’re on board there is a snack bar, seating inside and out.
Next stop is the beautiful town of Edgertown!!

Lunch at the Chatham Squire
I made it and lunch was fabulous!!! Even ran into a good friend which was a nice surprise. If you’re in Chatham try this fabulous place. Try the fresh oysters and clams. Also the fried clams w bellies are to die for…and don’t forget a chilled beer!!
The Mayflower, Ok, That’s a Small Ship!
I’m blogging live and just arrived in the quaint town of Plymouth. Here you can stroll through quaint shops and see a replica of the Mayflower. Its a gorgeous morning and the dogwoods are in bloom, branches draped in pink and white. I took a walk over to see the ship and here are some photos.
Next I’ll take you along 3a which hugs the coastline and down to the 6a which is the backroad drive to the quaint town of Chatham, MA. Hope you’ll follow along!
